Daniele De Rossi is one of the few players in the world who has stayed with one club throughout his career. He has been a Roma man throughout his professional career.

Despite speculation linking him with most of the likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid for long periods during the last five years, de Rossi has resisted the urge to leave the Italian capital. He has now spoken about the love for Roma which has prevented him from considering massive offers from other clubs. De Rossi is not the only famous one club man for Roma, as they also have Francesco Totti in the lineup.

Totti is widely expected to retire in the next year in order to give way to the young players at the club. However, it looks unlikely that De Rossi will stay at Roma for the next decade, as the Italian international continues to receive huge offers especially from MLS clubs. The 31-year-old may be force in the centre of midfield for the next few years, but he will eventually have to consider his position to younger names. This could be a major reason that forces him to look elsewhere.

Recently, De Rossi admitted that he cannot rule out the possibility of moving to America to continue his football.
“At certain times there was a slight possibility of leaving, but deep down we [De Rossi and his father] share a love for this club and that’s what keeps us going. In modern-day football it’s [his loyalty] an exception, there are a lot of things to consider now,” said De Rossi. The MLS has become a popular destination for players even in the early 30s to play their football. The likes of Kaka, Steven Gerrard, and Frank Lampard have just joined the league to add to the existing stars.
